Welcome to Peter Melton.com — Infinite Love, cleverly disguised.
It is a joy to do interviews for Extinction Radio. This week in Extinction Radio Episode 72, I got to talk with Peter Russell and Elizabeth West. Not only do I get to share these conversations with the world, but also get to grow my awareness with each new conversation. Enjoy it all. Peter!
I first learned about Peter Russell in 1994 with his movie, Global Brain. He has written 9 books on human consciousness, meditation, and more. He has a unique perspective on extinction and how it is a natural part of life. See Part Two, and starts at 14:50. About 38 minute long.
Elizabeth West is a new friend who writes on the topic of collapse and human extinction in Counter Punch, Common Dreams and more. I got to meet her during the recent Bay Area Tour and just had to have her on the show. She dares to ponder challenging topics such as–even in these crazy times–what to tell the children and how to live an extraordinary life. See Part Three, and starts at 18:28. About 54 minutes long.
Wow what an amazing couple of weeks. Gave a talk at Earth Day in San Francisco, then I returned to the Bay area to take part in climate talk at the Sierra Club with Guy McPherson and Jamen Shively of Radish.org and I produced and moderated an amazing panel discussion on our Climate Crisis and Human transformation with Guy McPherson, Sean Kelly, Jamen Shively and Peter Russell at the New Living Expo in San Mateo, CA.
I also got to participate in a group meeting in Berkeley to discuss our feelings as we experience the consciousness shift and the great unraveling at the same time.
I will post videos on these public events as they become available.
In the meantime I did a couple of interviews for extension radio this week, and check them out Extinction Radio Episode 71, 5th May 2017. This starts with Deb Ozarko, Jennifer Hynes and Peter Melton in Conversation at Part One, at 1:10, and goes to 1:05:12, or about 55 minutes long.
This is followed by Interview – Sean Kelly and me, in Part Two, at 4:57 and goes to 48:48 or about 44 minutes long.
Rick Siegenthaler more than earns his reputation, as Jennifer Hynes so aptly says, for ‘real genius’, for his efforts. In this case, a lengthy video of the discussion I had with Sean Kelly of The California Institute of Integral Studies thankfully rendered by Rick, here. Sean’s CV is here also.

This is at Part Two, and is 0:34:16 long.
Mike as many of you know has done a lot of work with Dr. Guy McPherson, and Nature Bats Last. Mike has been involved in The Good Men Project. He has a book called ‘Chasing a Different Carrot: A Manifesto for the Predicament of Privilege‘ which is available at Amazon.
When it comes to a real, true, and credentialled discussion about rapid climate change, it is hard to get much better than A Farewell to Ice senior scientist and author Dr. Peter Wadhams, and it is my honor to interview him on the last episode of Extinction Radio 68, from March 22nd, 2017. This is in Part One, introduction starts at 0:00, interview proper at 2:06, and goes to 48:17.
Additionally, recently, I led a workshop at a State Sustainability Conference in Chico, and want to share the video, here. This is about 63:00 long. Those of you with access to Facebook, can access it here. This was from the fourth week of March.

Here is a fun segment where the illustrious Jennifer Hynes and I interview each other on Extinction Radio Episode 66, 22nd Feb 2017, titled ‘Nick at Relief Analysis and Paul Beckwith‘. This 33:16 long Podcast segment is in Part Two, and starts at the 47:08 mark.
We talk about our relationship to the cosmic story, spiritual foundations, how to hold ourselves into the bigger story which we are part of, Brian Swimme of the California Institute of Integral Studies, collective consciousness, Orville Dam, where do we go emotionally and spiritually, and Guy McPherson’s visit to Northern California by the Sierra Club.
We also talk about work by Jamen Shively and Associates at Radish.org, Trump appointees, resistance, using grief as a bridge to access feelings. We mention the work of Francis Weller on grief and the great unraveling as Kevin Hester calls it. We also explore this “chance to say goodbye” to so much that we thought was real.
Also see, the Center for the Story of the Universe.
This episode, is called, ‘A Case for Environmental Stewardship‘. Replay at link at left. We share our passion for the earth.
What a great honor. I was interviewed by Pastor Jesse on Peace and Social Justice, a Public Affairs show which hails from the Sacramento Valley. This was published Friday 17 February, 2017. Hosted by KZFR 90.1 FM, People Powered Radio since 1990.
By all means, listening to the entire episode is recommended, but not all of us have extra time at all times…
Its been suggested I add a page, to my webpage here, to share about the group, which I will remedy in the near term, with maps, locations, description, venue. Wonderful work. A great honor also.
WOW..’ Here it is, my conversation on the Unplugged Podcast with Deb Ozarko, UP #122: ‘Curiosity, Collapse and Urgent Spirituality with Peter Melton‘.
And in the end, I think we will feel only… WOW.
I just love my connection with Deb and this conversation says it all, “Daring to know myself beyond my humanity.”
Don’t forget the KZFR public radio show happens this friday. Will share link to specific episode, soon as have. Station hails from Chico California.
